Legendary producer Madlib was given access to Blue Note Records's original masters catalogue back in 2003 for a remix project. What was born was a mix of jazz, hip-hop and electronic style that has been hugely influential on younger contemporary musicians/producers like Flying Lotus and Thundercat since its release.
